There are four factors involved in determining a pets grooming price.

1 Size
- x-small under 6” at the shoulder
- toy under 9” at the shoulder
- small under 12” at the shoulder
- medium under 18” at the shoulder
- large under 21” at the shoulder
- x-large under 25” at the shoulder
- moose under the top of the door
2 Coat Type - Sub headings Fur / Hair
Fur
Smooth (Dalmatian & Chihuahua)
Double Coat (Labrador & Corgi)
Triple Coat (Chow Chow & Pomeranian)
Hair
Single Coat (Afghan Hound & Poodle)
With undercoat (Old English Sheepdog & Shih Tzu)
3 Coat Condition
A pet that is groomed on a regular basis will naturally have healthier skin and coat. Grooming needs vary by breed, yet all the experts agree that weekly brushing and monthly bathing are essential for all dogs and cats to maintain a healthy coat. A pet who’s coat can have a comb run through it without tangling is considered in good condition. Excess undercoat and matting require additional time for removal.
4 Table Manners
Starting your pet’s grooming regimen early in life is considered a part of their training. It can be just as important as housebreaking and leash training. A pet with good table manners is relaxed on the grooming table and enjoys it’s time being pampered by their groomer. A pet that tries to bite or fight over the many procedures involved in the grooming process is more difficult to handle, takes more time and often requires more than one groomer.
